Safety Awards and Recognition

Great West is proud to recognize our insureds and their drivers for safety excellence, and we celebrate the commitment they make to keeping roads and workplaces safe every day with our Safety Awards program. Whether you’re honoring outstanding individual drivers, recognizing the efforts of an entire driving team, or showcasing your company’s achievements in accident prevention and workplace safety, these awards highlight the importance of safety in every aspect of your operation.

Each year, Great West invites insureds to enter submissions for our Driver Safety Awards and our two fleet-level award programs, Motor Carrier Safety Awards and Workplace Safety Awards.

Company Safety Awards

Each year, Great West invites insureds to participate in our two fleet-level award programs: Motor Carrier Safety Awards and Workplace Safety Awards. 

Motor Carrier Safety Awards (MCSA)

The MCSA program celebrates a motor carrier’s efforts to prevent vehicle accidents. We base these awards on your preventable accident frequency rate per million miles for the previous calendar year. 

MCSA Program

Workplace Safety Awards (WSA)

The WSA program celebrates a motor carrier’s efforts to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. This program is reserved for Great West workers compensation insureds only. We base these awards on your OSHA incident frequency rate for the previous calendar year.

Driver Safety Awards

Our Safe Driver Awards program recognizes truck drivers who operate their equipment accident-free. A Safe Driving pin and Certificate of Achievement are awarded to drivers for each year of driving without a preventable accident. A Safe Driving plaque is presented in recognition of 10 years (or 1 million miles), 15 years, and 20 years of driving without a preventable accident.
