Work-life balance is a way of life for our team at Great West Casualty Company. During our 37.5 hour work week, we work hard, so time off is well deserved. Nearly 90% of our workforce currently qualifies for a hybrid work schedule, working three days in the office and two days remotely. Additional benefits such as paid leave, vacation, and holidays also support our goal of achieving a positive work-life balance.

Paid Leave of Absence
Paid Leave of Absence benefits may be used for time away from work due to disability, pregnancy, to bond with a new baby or child, or to care for a family member with a serious health condition.Floating Holiday
Employees are granted 1 day annually.Company Holidays
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.Military Leave
Reservists and National Guard members may be granted up to one week’s paid leave followed by one week’s unpaid leave for temporary duty or training. Leaves of absence with pay are available to any employee called to active military duty (except when exclusively for training) for twelve months or less, with pay to the extent necessary to make any military pay equivalent to the employee’s base pay. Extended leaves of absence may be available if active duty extends beyond twelve months.Family Funeral Leave
Employees may be granted up to three days paid leave upon the death of certain family members. Unpaid leave may be granted to attend the funeral of other relatives and/or close friends.Jury Duty Leave
Employees have paid leave when called for jury or witness duty.Mother's Room
Great West has a private area for nursing mothers to express milk.Travel Assistance Program
Our Travel Assistance program can help employees with many unexpected issues that could arise while traveling 100 or more miles from home or internationally.
